Canvas LMS is the District standard and a shell is automatically created for every course section. Below are some of the important information on about canvas

Course Shells in Canvas

District has a automated process that will create a course shell in canvas for every active section. The process starts to create the sections the day after registration starts of term and add newly activated sections to canvas based on a predefined schedule.

Faculty have the option to combine multiple sections into a single course up until the start of the section using “Canvas Combine Section”

Schedule for Data transmission to Canvas

District send course section, student enrollment and faculty assignment to canvas daily at 6am, 10am, 2pm and 6pm daily.

Students enrollment consists of student that are REGISTERED in a section at the time the data is transmitted, as an example if student registers into section at 10:20 the student will get access to canvas shell after the 2pm transmission.
