Starting Fall 2022 to access your email we will be requiring Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), in preparation we need to convert Office 365 to use Single Sign-on (SSO) which in our case means you would see the familiar InSite login page. The switch to SSO means we will be moving from “basic authentication” to a “modern authentication”, the older protocols such as POP, IMAP and SMTP all use basic authentication and will no longer work starting the afternoon of March 21st. If you are using a mail software that relies on these unsupported protocols we recommend you move to Microsoft Outlook for your desktop/laptop or the Outlook app for mobile devices.

Listed below are common software used to access email with the changes that might be needed on 3/21 after Office 365 is configured for SSO.

Outlook 2016 (PC) or higher

Outlook 2016 (Mac) or higher

Outlook App for Mobile (iOS and Android)

Instructions on configuring the built-in Mail app can be found at Configure District email on Mac OS Mojave (version 10.14) or higher
