How to make @email.4cd.edu default in canvas

Techconnect Zoom integration with Canvas requires that your District email address the @email.4cd.edu be the DEFAULT email in Canvas.

Follow the steps below to fix the error “invalid email address” when you click on TechConnect Zoom from within Canvas. The error happens when the default email address in canvas DOES NOT match the email address for you in zoom.

  1. Log in to Canvas

  1. Click on Account in the global navigation on the left

  1. Click Settings

You should see both your “short” and “long” DVC email addresses under “Ways to Contact”

If the long email addresses (starting with @email) is not the one that has the star (which indicates the default email), simply click it so that it is starred. That makes it the default.
